London

Buckingham Palace

Guards and...
guards.
After I found my hotel I spent some time learning how to use the "tube", which is really cool, and the buses. I took an overview tour of the city in the top of a double-decker bus. The first place I went to was Buckingham Palace. Then on to The Tower of London which has some amazing buildings and history. The whole city is a mix of beautiful architecture from medieval to Victorian to modern. Had "fish and chips" which is basically a large fish stick and french fries. There are so many tourists and foreigners here that it doesn't feel quite "British". I'm more of a country girl so today I'm going outside London to see more of England's "green and pleasant fields".(not sure who said that and if I even quoted it correctly but sounded pretty good).

  1. Wow, that was a pretty intense day especially with jet-lag! It will be interesting to see which "green and pleasant fields" you get to. Have fun!

  2. Don't steal any rose bushes while you're in the Green and Pleasant country. ;)
